Emmitsburg Thurmont Lions Charter Night Speaker Named
George E. Davidson, a former Maryland State Police leader and Lions International director, will speak at the 40th annual Charter Night Banquet of the Thurmont and Emmitsburg Lions Clubs on October 22 at the Thurmont American Legion Home. The event honors charter and long time members as guest attendance tops 150 with entertainment by the Catoctin Senior Girls Ensemble.

Amateur Radio iClasses Set to Begin at Frederick High School
Registration opens for Amateur Radio iClasses to start October 27 in the Vocational Building at Frederick High School. Frederick Amateur Radio Club and Frederick Office of Civil Defense sponsor the free classes taught by volunteer instructors. Participants may learn to relay messages or make overseas phone calls and gain basic electronics knowledge.
