Federated Charities Breaks Ground On New Frederick Complex
Federated Charities of Frederick broke ground Wednesday on a $15 million renovation adding a new wing and elevator to its South Market Street complex. The project will expand leasable space to over 1,000 square feet, improve accessibility, and keep the streetscape and gates, with Brachey Builders as constructor and CMW Group as architect. The ceremony included tours of an archeological dig by R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates and donor recognition for the Federated Campaign. The initiative, ongoing since 1911, funds nonprofit offices at below-market lease rates and runs the Free Home Health Care Equipment Loan Closet for Frederick County residents.
