Hollis brothers forge dual varsity era at Knight high
In Middletown, brothers Scott and Matt Hollis share a lone 8 by 24 foot wooden goal. Matt, 14, a 4 foot 11 inch freshman, plays soccer for Knight undefeated, while Scott, 17, 5 foot 7 inch senior, is the Knight place kicker for the football team. They still use the goal for goalie practice and hold for each other during kicks, dreaming of penalty shots and field goals. Previously both pursued soccer before Scott chose football two years ago, leaving soccer practice ongoing at their home goal.
