Frederick County Antiques Donated to Historical Society
Heirs of the late Marshall L. Etchison of Frederick Maryland donate a large collection of antiques to the Frederick County Historical Society. Items include a $5,000 grandfather clock, a $2,000 Ameling goblet, portraits, watercolors, books, glassware and more. The clock will be kept on the first floor front hall and an inscription honoring William and Josephine Etchison will be placed inside the clock door. The Society accepts the gifts under specified conditions and elected Charles McC. Mathias Jr. to a fourth term as president.
