Professor Smith Resigns as Music Director of Church
Prof George Edward Smith resigns after forty six years as music director of Evangelical Reformed Church due to impaired eyesight. He began as organist in 1879 and served as organist, choirmaster, then musical director until now. The consistory honors his long service and prays for his health and continued involvement if possible.
