Kluge credits gambling luck to fortune and fame
Metromedia founder Jonnyw Kluge, the richest American with an estimated 5.6 billion, credits luck and gambling for much of his success in Forbes interviews. The 76 year old, who built Metromedia into seven TV stations and 14 radio outlets, rose from a Ford plant to a media empire and later private holdings. His life story includes World War II service, Columbia economics degree, and later ventures from Fox Television to cattle breeding at Albemarle Farms near Charlottesville Virginia.
