Maryland FFA agribusiness team takes state contest second
FFA members from Stemuers and Clear Spring chapters earned runner up and first in state events. Reider Bennett-White assisted as sponsor while team members include Gordon Page Snowden Zimmerman Thompson Tedrick Shanberger Seibert. Mies Thompson led high scoring in forestry, with Maryland to send the forestry team to the national contest in Kansas City in November.

Farmers with 1988 and 1989 losses may receive 1989 crop disaster payments under the Disaster Assistance Act of 1989. Payments come as generic certificates.
