Frederick County Jobless Rate Drops Sharply in August
Frederick County recorded an August unemployment rate of 4.7 percent with 2,162 unemployed out of a 46,266 labor force, down from 6.4 percent in July. The county posted a drop of 386 job seekers and 806 people out of work, ranking lowest among four Western Maryland counties and below nearby Washington Carroll Montgomery and Howard in rates.
