Rezoning Two County Parcels For Conway Businesses
The Planning and Zoning Commission chaired by Daniel E. Wigot unanimously recommended the County Commissioners rezone two Conway parcels for relocation of Sutton Construction Co and E S Conway Electric. Conway proposed two plans. the preferred places a warehouse on two acres near Lewistown and an office on 14 acres across the road, while the staff favored placing all on a larger tract. County Planner Hatton warned the rezoning would harm nearby residential areas, but the commission pursued the favored split-site plan amid state road relocation considerations. The County Commissioners set October 27 to consider Conway’s rezoning and Ketcham’s Urbana gas station motel plan. A Hickman tract plat for Point of Rocks roads was approved with staff-modified conditions. Mayor and Aldermen meeting noted.
