Capt. Louis 4. Rawlins Die In Army Plane Crash Near Dallas
Word of Capt. Louis 4. Rawlins U S Army death in a crash near Dallas and altas Texas arrived with news that his wife Barbara Brooke Dennis gave birth to their second son at Women s Hospital. The crash occurred when the plane struck a radio tower wire and plunged. Rawlins had served in Maryland National Guard and later at Baltimore airport before rejoining the Army. He is survived by his wife a son and a newborn, plus parents a brother at sea and a sister in Washington. Six other airmen were killed in the same crash near Dallas. Colonel Edward S. Fee Lt Joseph Moore and Capt M Rawlins were identified among the victims. others were unnamed initially.

Enemy Alien Held in War Contract Probe
The FBI announced that a co-owner of a $1,000,000 war production firm was among 55 enemy aliens rounded up this week in New York.
