Columbia launch scrubbed again by thick clouds delays

Two-Parent Clans Rebound Slows Growth of Single Parents

Washington AP reports after two decades of decline two parent families show a rebound yet the rise is small as single parent homes dominate. In 1994 nearly one third of families with children are led by a single parent up from 13 percent in 1970 and 28 percent in 1990. Black families show 65 percent headed by single parents while whites are at 25 percent. William Mattox of the Family Research Council calls the trend disturbing.

Six Israelis killed in ambush near Aishiyeh Lebanon

Iranian backed Hezbollah guerrillas ambushed an Israeli patrol near Aishiyeh in south Lebanon killing six Israeli soldiers and wounding another. The attack followed previous clashes and claimed by Hezbollah, marking the bloodiest incident this year on the border front.
