A Frederick County Sheriff's patrol car and another vehicle collided on Md 806 at Blue Mountain Road Thursday afternoon. Deputy Lingg and his daughter Lori Jean Lingg, 7, were involved. Lori Jean was treated and released. Driver Michael Evan Rakes, 17, faces a charge of failure to yield. A second accident nearby sent a Mt Holly, North Carolina man to hospital after a $15,000 tractor trailer crash on U.S. 15 south of Emmitsburg near Old Frederick.

A special grand jury in Ravenna Ohio indicted 25 persons for May campus violence at Kent State University and cleared Ohio National Guardsmen of charges. Bloodmobile to Return for Blood Donations Next Thursday
