Doctor Files Suit Over FMH 30 Mile Rule Denial
Dr John M Richards, a general practitioner with office at 30 W All Saints St, filed an equity action against Frederick Memorial Hospital and president James Kluttz seeking an injunction, staff privileges reinstatement, attorney fees, and removal of the hospital's 30 mile rule. He contends the rule, part of the hospital by laws, denied him due process and the right to practice locally. A court hearing is set for Oct 23.
