Too Late Evacuation of Hanoi and the Rise of Nationalism
The article argues the evacuation delay exposed French colonial fragility as nationalist fervor rose in Northern Vietnam. It claims Communist forces exploited local desire for freedom, ending eight years of war and replacing paternalistic rule with a masked dictatorship. The Hanoi welcome signals a deep quest for self rule, suggesting earlier recognition might have averted Indo China conflict.

20 Years Of Democratic Demagoguery Commonplace

It asserts that 20 years of partisan misrepresentation favors Democrats, criticizes attacks on Wilson, and endorses Eisenhower era job programs as sound relief. Also notes local GOP meeting and a football game cancellation.
