Frederick Arts Festival set for June on Carroll Creek
Frederick officials heard from the Festival of the Arts committee that the three day event will run June 24 to 26 along Carroll Creek with artists from around the country and roving performers. The festival will include performing arts children activities poetry workshops and mixed media displays. Mayor Paul Gordon urged caution over potentially inappropriate art for children while committee members stressed the event is city sponsored and mixed media. Also updates on Carroll Creek construction and a future footbridge were discussed to avoid interference with the festival.
