Exiles Raid Cuban Consulate in Miami
A band of about 58 protesters raided the Cuban consulate in Miami. They battered desks and equipment, tore phones from walls, and forced Leon Blanco to open the safe, taking hundreds of blank passport forms. Blanco described a brutal beating while hospital officials listed him in fair condition. The raid followed executions by Castro’s firing squads and included rocks thrown at a Castro supporters hangout. An anti-C Castro group claimed linkage to the Democratic Revolutionary Front.
