Man Testifies He Did Not Pull Trigger In Tavern Shooting
In court the defendant Shankle claimed he frightened a woman from a window and shockingly said he did not know how the gun went off. He admitted returning to the tavern and later reporting the body at 3 57 oclock. Police Chief Main described initial death-by-own-action hints and the sheriff recalled knowing him for 20 years. A fellow worker testified on behalf of his brother, noting Shankle’s fragile state and erratic behavior while jailed.
