Progress In County Appeal Board Sets Goal At 4900
The County Appeal Board met at the Society office in Winchester Hall with Mrs E Eugene Thomas as general chairman. The county wide drive aims to raise 4900 to supplement funds for the agency. Middletown area leads with 145 collected over five months. Executive Secretary Mrs William C. Roderick spoke on cases, including 23 family investigations and several in Juvenile Court. Staff attended summer training and fairs of interest to the field. Membership and ward support continued with the Episcopal Orphan Home contributing 378 to expenses for five boys in camp.
