Five Years Given in Maryland Penitentiary

Alvi M Borst, 45, of Frederick, was sentenced to five years in the Maryland Penitentiary after a Circuit Court trial. Judge Thomas W. Anderson and Associate Judge Patrick M Schnauffer presided, with State's Attorney Samuel W. Bar rick presenting. Borst admitted writing deeds and contracts in fictitious transactions with James M Stochman under duress, while Stockman testified to various negotiations and loans. Dorsey, 21, earlier pleaded guilty to false pretense and forgery and received one year in the State Reformatory.

iKelly Rubber Workers Get Increase In Pay

Rubber workers at Kelly Springfield Tire Co plant in Cumberland Ohio area gain hourly pay boosts of 12 to 20 cents for about 1,807 employees. New contract also adds a paid holiday the day before Christmas and extended company paid hospitalization for pensioners. Pensioners receive enhanced benefits and shift of seniority to longer vacation time.
