Estate Sues Insurer Over Fatal Accident in Maryland

The Bidle estate sues Nationwide Insurance Co over a fatal two vehicle crash on U S 40 west of Frederick claiming uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage. Damages seek wrongful death and punitive damages amid claims of bad faith regarding policy limits. The 1995 collision killed Dorothy Bidle and injured Eston Lantz Sr., who later died. The suit notes Lantz had a history of drunken driving convictions and provisional license limits. Evidence includes Channel 10 footage of Lantz, medical costs over 32000, and partial recovery from MAIF. The estate seeks policy limits of 300000 minus MAIF payments for the deceased’s representatives.
