Revival Talk Highlights Church Building Boom in Frederick
At the Mews Frederick Rev Maurice D Ashbury rector of Saint Church spoke at a Rotary luncheon about renewed interest in religions over the past decade fueling a building boom of new churches and educational units. He noted trends toward church unity without uniformity and cited World Council of Churches and National Council of Churches in Christ, while warning of clergy shortages and the lengthy training for a bachelor of divinity degree. Weather Patrol notes ships from the US Canada and Japan monitor Pacific conditions in a sparsely dotted island area.
