Roland Ulysses Lyles of Damascus was convicted of second degree murder for stabbing Ernest R. Dorsey, 29, near Mt Airy Junction tavern on May 22. Lyles, 26, testified he acted after Dorsey grabbed his collar, claiming he intended to defend himself with a penknife.
