Death of Dr Elwood Yerkes at 84 in Philadelphia
Dr J Ellgood Yerkes of Philadelphia died in bed this morning at his daughter Mrs Te Lewis residence south of the city. He was 84 and died of heart failure. Once a prominent dentist in Philadelphia, he led a retired life, spending most time at Mrs Lewis residence. He was a Baptist church member for much of his life. Survived by Eliza M Yerkes of Philadelphia and Mrs R Rush Lewis of the city, also a brother Dr Hutchinson P Yerkes of Doufax town and a sister Mrs Margaret Coffman of Philadelphia. The remains were shipped today on the 1565 & 0 train to Dolpkte for interment under C E Cine, funeral director.
