Jerry Walker of Detroit brings his nine month old Samoyed Kassa to the American Kennel Club event at the Frederick Fairgrounds. AKC reported 354 entries with dogs from California and Nova Scotia, three rings for conformation and an obedience obstacle course in rainy conditions. The breed traces to Persia and Siberia, known as a working dog kept by Samoyede people.

Marijuana case opens in circuit court for Burkett cousins
