AARP hears about Goodwill and new legislation
AARP Chapter 636 in Frederick County heard Karen Mills, Goodwill Industries personnel director, discuss training handicapped workers and merchandise handling. The group noted Goodwill stores replenish stock after two fires and stressed needs for clothing and household items. George Williams spoke on Maryland legislation “in the hopper” and Virginia Joy summarized Annapolis meetings. A luncheon and bazaar were planned for Nov 15 at Evangelical Reformed Church.
