Sweden Fights Sub Hunt At Hors Bay Bay Base
Swedish naval units intensified a hunt for a suspected Soviet bloc submarine outside Musko Naval Base. Depth charges were dumped in Hors Bay overnight as officials said the sub attempted to escape blockade but remained in the bay per navy spokesman Captain Sven Carlsson. A second submarine was spotted in the bay though authorities cautioned against confirming a breakout success. The operation involved authorities from the Berga naval zone and ongoing searches continued late into the night.
