Found Innocent After Wreck Verdict Clears Reeder
Walter S Reeder was found not guilty of driving a wagon without rights by Magistrate Alton Y Bennett after witnesses described foggy conditions and a near collision on Route 40 two miles west of Frederick. The trial noted timing disputes and Reeder’s claim of clear weather as testimony conflicted with Castle and Trooper Basore. Additional cases included drunken driving plea, fighting and disturbing the peace verdicts, and collateral forfeitures for speeding and hunting without a license.
