Worker hit on I-270 in Maryland injures construction worker
A 43-year-old Frederick construction worker, Howard Fry of Dewey Jordan, was seriously injured on southbound I-270 when overhanging roofing material from a passive truss truck struck him as he set up barrels to close a lane. He was flown by state police helicopter to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, with the driver of the truck unidentified. The southbound lane was briefly closed for the landing and the investigation continues.
