Roads program offered board in Frederick County
County plans a 60 mile roads program pending State Roads Commission participation over twelve years. County Engineer Roger H. Willard told the Roads Board the action may be deferred until month’s end, with final county action no sooner than November. If approved, funds from a bond issue and the new gas tax would allow about 40 miles of new county road annually, with planning ahead to avoid delays. The board also approved Route 40 to Gambrill State Park and New Design Road projects, pending state concurrence, while shifting crews to maintenance ahead of winter.
