Nero Performance Reigns at Community Concerts
Peter Nero delivered a sensational Thomas Johnson Auditorium show with Cecil Ricca on drums and Dave Troncoso on bass. The crowd roared for hits from For Once in My Life to My Way and a dramatic Jesus Christ Superstar set, though audio issues and mixed jokes marred some moments. Nero’s Porgy and Bess tribute and What the World Needs Now showcased his improvisational strength, while Ricca and Troncoso impressed throughout.
