Postponed reassessment saves Frederick County real estate
The State Tax Commission delays the reassessment plan after a Chamber of Commerce led belief values are inflated. The decision spares taxpayers from abrupt tax rises while acknowledging market softness that may later force declines in land values if crop prices fall. The move underscores the chamber’s influence and the value of a business-led approach.
