Eileen Green and Kenneth George Becker married at Thurmont Church of the Brethren on August 3. Rev. Albert Morningstar officiated. The bride, given by her parents Sterling and Eileen Green, resides in Frederick with her GEICO employment. the groom, son of the late Oscar and Edna Becker of Frederick, works for SIRE Flower Inc. Friends and family attended, including bridesmaids Andres Green and Mrs Christian Green, Katharine Taylor, best man Carl Rollison, and ushers Dennis and Douglas Green. The couple will live in Frederick after a trip to Williamsburg Virginia.
Kimberly Lynn Phelps and Kevin Durand Smith wed in a ceremony August 18 at the bride’s mother’s home officiated by Rev. Merritt Copenhaver. Bride’s father Bernard L. Phelps gave her away. Naomi Garver and Roy Smith attended.
Ton Ann Johnson and Robert James Holste united in a double ring ceremony at Johnson Holste St John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Columbia. Rev Alvin C Ellerbusch presided. The couple resides in Howard County after a wedding trip to Virginia Beach.
Mrs Moody Pack of Colorado Springs announces the engagement of her daughter Cynthia Kathryn to Donald Clayton Pearl son of Mr and Mrs Charles C Pearl of Middletown. Cynthia is a 1980 Colorado State University graduate and flight attendant for Eastern Airlines in Washington DC. Donald is a 1980 Virginia Tech graduate and a project manager for Tipolo Homes in Reston Virginia. The wedding is set for October 19.
Darlene Denise Crutchley and Kenneth Ray McElfresh Jr. wed June 22 at St John’s Lutheran Church Thurmont with Rev. Robert McElfroy III officiating. Attendants included maid of honor Becky Thayer and bridesmaids Kathy Thayer and Dawn McElfresh. The couple, residing in Frederick, are the children of James and Annabelle Crutchley and Kenneth R McElfresh Sr and Carol Hood.
Dr and Mrs Earl Beck announce the engagement of their daughter Stephanie Marie to Charles Lee Graham Jr son of Mrs Arlie Graham and Dr Charles Graham both of Frederick.
Miss Beck and Mr Graham, graduates of Gov Thomas Johnson High School, Towson State and Frederick Community College, announce a November wedding. Rebecah Ruth Staup will wed Rodney Shepherd of Arlington Virginia. Miss Staup is a 1978 Linden Hall and Mount Vernon College alumna and translator in Washington DC. Rodney Shepherd holds a history degree from James Madison University and works as a wine director in Washington DC. The Rev and Mrs Thomas P Staup of Brunswick announce the engagement.
