Charles Thompson named Carroll County attorney in Westminster

Charles W. Thompson, 32, becomes Carroll County attorney succeeding John Cerame who left last summer. A 1974 University of Baltimore Law grad with a Virginia Military Institute undergrad, he previously served as assistant Carroll County State's Attorney from 1975 to 1978, on the state Board of Censors, as an administrative specialist for the Real Estate Commission, and as a law clerk for Judge Kenneth Proctor. He joins the Maryland and Carroll County bars and the State's Attorney Association. he and wife Susan reside in Westminster with their children Charles III and Virginia.

Mount St Mary's offers supervisor leadership course
