Brunswick Railroad Days Showcases Train History and Balloons
The Brunswick Potomac Foundation festival drew over 1,000 attendees for a weekend celebrating railroading with museum tours, bus yard trips, and hundreds of balloons. The town’s 1950s HO model railroad spans 2,100 square feet on the museum’s third floor, featuring 200 stock pieces across 238 freight cars and 19 engines. Local merchants reported strong sidewalk sales as visitors from nearby counties, including about 120 Model Train National Railroad Association members, explored the layout and plans for future automation and improved signaling.
