1979 Apple Fling winners announced
The ninth annual Apple Fling at Frederick Towne Mall awarded prizes to youth and adults for top apple dishes. Winners include Martha Brognard for Pumpkin Apple Ring in the youth cake category and Donna Easterday for French Apple Pie. Adult divisions honored Anne King for Apple Nut Bread and Mrs Charles R. Wares Sr. for Fresh Apple Squares, with centerpieces judged among baskets of apples and dried elements.
