Dover Oct 3 J Edward Addicks won a political draw as the Union Republican Canst committee of 18 members split between his followers and United States Senator Allee The committee was appointed to seek a fusion with Regular Republicans and Layton Allee Addicks Groves and Marshal formed the lineup The result is viewed as a compromise with some members aligned to each side.

Henry A Leonard a 24 year old clerk at Halle Stieglitz confessed to stealing 259 dollars in securities from National City Bank. He said the forgery and robbery were planned to show how simple bank safeguards are to defeat. All missing securities were recovered and Leonard faced police custody.
