Couple cannot afford infant monitor for Tara
Newark area couple William and Nancy Fawcett say they risk their 1 year old Tara’s life by not using a breathing monitor due to an $180 monthly rental fee and other financial hardships. Tara has not had an episode in six months but a pneumogram is hoped, a test the family cannot afford. The Fawcetts struggle with mortgage payments, a canceled employer medical plan, and debt to Hoff man Surgical Equipment Co, which notes strict collection practices for unpaid gear.
