Hood College Largest Industry in Frederick Says Lewis
Republican mayoral candidate John F. Lewis criticizes city administration for marginalizing Hood College the leading local industry. He argues Hood generates about 9 million annually, offers a clean, knowledge based product, and should be supported with town housing plans prioritizing senior citizen needs over high rises. He also comments on Safeway expansion and opposes fast food, proposing cottage housing near flood plains and school grounds to house 200 to 300 couples with city and county backing.
