Two Accidents Reported in Frederick City
Frederick city police reported two accidents with no injuries. A 1447 Ford panel truck driven by John Riggs Carter was rear ended by a 1956 Buick driven by William Lewis Jr on East Street near 3rd and 4th Streets at 4:17 p.m. Damages totaled 150. Lewis was cited for following too closely. A second collision at Madison and Broadway involved a 1962 Ford Falcon driven by Dr. Thomas Dickson Michael and a 1951 Oldsmobile driven by Richard Eugene Shell. Repairs valued the Falcon at 500 and the Oldsmobile at 250. Shell was charged with failing to grant the right of way and set for trial. District boundary lines around 43 Baltimore schools were redrawn, allowing pupils to apply to any city school with transfers possible if class size permits.
