Strength For Today by Earl L Douglass
An exhortation compares life to a bridge swept by flood and a gap in circumstances. It urges removing weaknesses and prejudices to avoid destroying life’s joy and purpose. The speaker cites Jesus offering abundant life from John 10 10 and notes human underuse of coal in industry.

Judges Postpone Ruling in Lowndes County Jury Suit
Three federal judges in Montgomery Alabama said they will delay a decision until after January 1 on a suit to add more Negroes to Lowndes County jury rolls. After a Friday hearing, lawyers for local Negroes and the Justice Department were ordered to file written briefs within two weeks, with county officials’ lawyers due by Jan. 1 to answer. Government testimony indicated no Negroes have served on trial juries in Lowndes County for 13 years. Cuba has three state universities.
