Services Held For Charles F. Kettering
A hundred close friends stood by as Charles F. Kettering was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery amid cold wind and light snow. The renowned automotive innovator died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 82 and was laid to rest beside his wife Olive, with 400 to 450 mourners present. The ceremony in Dayton was brief, with prayers by Malcolm A. MacIntyre and hymns, reflecting a simple tribute to a prolific inventor.
