Strength For Today by Earl El Douglass
A magazine poll shows widespread spiritual complacency in American society with most bosses claiming belief in God yet lacking guilt over moral evil. Factors cited include limited religious home education over 30 years, lenient sermons about judgment, and the rechristening of evils as modern customs. War years are noted as damaging moral life. A renewed spirituality requires genuine guilt and self-examination.
