Cogeneration rates set by PSC to final Monday
A Public Service Commission examiner's order fixing cogeneration and small power production rates at 1.57 cents per kilowatt hour will become final Monday, unless challenged by 4:30 p.m. The ruling affects three PE cogeneration customers Kelly Springfield Tire Celanese Fibers and Westavco Paper in Cumberland and Garrett County. It allows two tariff options and offers bonuses for large steady outputs or on demand sales during emergencies.
