End of Rahway Prison Hostage Crisis Sealed
Officials regain control of Rahway State Prison after a 24 hour uprising by 500 inmates who released five hostages on Thanksgiving night. An eight attorney team led by Stanley C. Van Ness will meet inmates as negotiations proceed for grievances including medical care, food, parole hearings and alleged racial bias.
