County boards cut school budget increase in conference

Frederick County Commissioners and the Board of Education held a meeting in the Court House on a Monday to pare down the current expense budget for public schools next year. By item-by-item cuts and reallocations to capital projects they reduced the proposed increase by 71, and the boards promised further refinement.
