Three Marines from Quantico stationed at the barracks near Frederick were injured when their car wrecked on the Frederick road. They were taken to Frederick City Hospital with scalp lacerations, fractured ribs, and a fractured collar bone.
Baltimore reports an increase in state game warden activity to enforce bag limits. Authorities say cooperation with federal officers is advised to enforce the federal limit of 15 ducks per hunter, superseding the state limit of 25. In the season's first three days eight hunters were arrested and prosecuted in U.S. court for violations carrying heavier penalties.

Oscar C. G. Wiles, 34, farmer near Harmony, is in serious condition at Frederick City Hospital after being knocked down and trampled by two runaway horses. He tried to stop the team near his home, while his 12 year old son Earl led the manure spreader. The incident occurred Friday night. Wiles received aid from Dr J Hime Harp Myersville before transport to the hospital.

President elect Franklin D Roosevelt in Warm Springs outlines plans to meet with a National Grange committee and House agriculture committee members to discuss farm rehabilitation. Grangers prepared to present a National Grange proposal, Roosevelt has not been briefed on specifics yet.
Frederick county will send a delegation to Annapolis Monday where county and state officials discuss resolutions to return part of the state four cent gas tax to counties and reduce the school tax to 30 cents. Montgomery Prince Georges Baltimore Harford and Charles counties oppose diverting gas tax funds from the state, with Brooke Lee leading the opposition. The plan could force a shift in school funding, and a governor's tax committee report may influence action as counties seek to share in the tax receipts.
Mrs Mary Cooper 19 is gravely wounded after a car crash on the Susquehanna Trail near York Pa. Police say a pistol was fired from a rear window as the car sped away. Six youths questioned and four others sought. Suspect unnamed. Passengers held include Dorothy Welsh Perry Wills Bernard Herr Eren Heidt Ruby Nace and David Grove driver.
Police warn businesses and banks after a counterfeit five dollar note passed at a local store. Chief William F. Steiner notes the bill looks similar to the real note but uses softer paper and brighter ink for the seal. The legend under the portrait is incomplete.
Rev Clarence Bowman accepts call to Myersville Church of the Brethren and will assume duties January 1. Bowman, Virginia native, resides at Aston Bridge and studied at Bile Ridge College New Windsor Bridgewater College and Bethany Bible School. His wife is a musician. The church has been pastorless since September 1931 after Rev Sn2vely resigned for missionary work in the Dakotas. Supply pastors have filled services from Union Brig.
Hartsburg Pa Nov 26 AP Clayton G Miller 57 bank official and prominent Church of God layman died suddenly at his home. Miller was vice president and secretary of Citizens Trust Co. He held many church offices in North America including treasurer of the general eldership and director of publishing. Survivors include his widow and four children. Dinner Party Given at Galactin Community Club prior to a Hood College dance.
Percy Sunday about 30 was arrested Friday evening by Deputy Sheriff William Foreman at a Walkersville home where he was eating supper. A former convict, he surrendered and was jailed after prior sentences for false pretense. Authorities report a trail of bad checks since his release from Mary Anne House of Corrections. He faced indictments in Carroll and pending charges in Washington. Two weeks ago he fled a State Police stop near Walkersville while driving Sunday’s car. He was previously indicted for liquor at Thurmont and later convicted on bad checks. He also faces charges in Foxville for stealing chickens from Tracy Del Lauter, with a $500 bond set.

AP reports three miners residents in United Mine War area had their homes bombed early today with no injuries. Extensive damage occurred though no occupants were harmed. Investigators probe the attack's motive and suspects.

Ogle and other officers were named. program plans for the year were outlined and remarks on association advancement were made by Past Grand Master S. Elmer Brows and others. A butchered hog event near Walkersville was also reported, with attendees listed. Five men signaled intent to take civil service exams for Mount Airy postmaster vacancy.
Gordon Mathias a Baltimore cab driver about 30 was charged with drunken driving after a night out with two men and a woman in his taxi. State and city officers stopped the cab on West Patrick street and arrested him with a 500 dollarbond set for a hearing tonight.
After more than two months of preparation 300 514 application blanks for 1933 license tags were mailed on Friday by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles. Frederick applicants were received Tuesday. Since October 13 twenty six clerks prepared the blanks with three slips per form detailing errors to fix tax payment and postage changes. Baltimore residents are told to add 9 cents to money orders and Baltimore blanks require 32 cents instead of 14.
Dr. Francs L. Paton, former president of Princeton University, died last night at King Edward Vill hospital after a brief illness. He would have been 90 in January and led Princeton 1883 to 1902 before Woodrow Wilson succeeded him. Patton then led the Princeton Theological Seminary for 11 years before retiring in 1913 to Bermuda, where he was born in 1863.
Washington AP reports the House floor leaders differ on taking up repeal on the first day of Congress. Democratic Rainey supports Speaker Garner's plan while Republican Snell doubts it, noting the decision rests with Garner and past practice. Hoover indicates recommendations will cut expenses sharply.
Miss Celeste Thomas, vice-president of the Rebekah Assembly of Maryland, was honored Friday night by Samaritan Rebekah Lodge No. 51. Acting Secretary Castle delivered the reply to the Polish request for a moratorium to the Chancellor of the Polish embassy. State department officers said the contents were similar to those delivered to France, Great Britain and Belgium. President Hoover renewed the request for a moratorium.
