Libyan convicted in countryman's death in Utah
Mohammed Shabata a 35 year old Libyan former Weber State student was convicted of second degree murder in the death of Nabil Mansour 32 whose body was found in the trunk of his car in Ogden Utah The trial ended after eight jurors deliberated more than eight hours Sentencing set for this afternoon The FBI found no link to other Libyan dissident killings and no weapon was recovered Shabata testified he saw Mansour in a restaurant parking lot and Mansour planned to go to Las Vegas
