Funeral services for Charles H. Remsberg 70 Middletown farmer and former Vocational Agriculture teacher will be held at 2 p m today at the Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev W J Beckmann officiating. Interment is in the church cemetery. He died Saturday Nov 23 born Sept 9 1904 son of the late Albert S and Clara E Routzahn Remsberg. He was a University of Maryland graduate 1926 and Alpha Zeta member. Memorials may be given to the church memorial fund. He was known as a sports fan active in track and baseball. Second Heart Transplant Reported by Barnard Team
Cape Town based heart transplant pioneer Christiaan Barnard implanted a second heart in a 58 year old man at Groote Schuur Hospital. Coal workers win new industry concessions
United Mine Workers negotiators with help from the Ford administration won concessions from the coal industry in a proposed three year contract. Arnold Miller must win council approval and then persuade 120,000 members who went on strike November 12. Treasury Secretary Simon called it an improved package and both sides said they agreed in principle on improvements. The stock market edged up on news of a revised coal contract.
