Farmer-turned-delegate Boyd Smith eyes new path and vows
Boyd Smith says he will miss being a delegate yet plans a return to public service if needed. A former 132 acre farmer on Monocacy Meadows and Smith Realty agent, he recalls 1986 cancer surgery and his vow to help someone daily. He pushed farm and water bills, fought a tree fee bill, and led non tidal wetlands efforts while serving on Environmental Matters. He remains hopeful, noting Annapolis will feel lacking without him and that he may pursue real estate appraisal while staying ready to serve if asked.
