Lilypons Post Office Faces Possible Closure
The Post Office Department plans to close Lilypons Post Office home to Three Springs Fisheries and Thomas Supply Company after an inspection report. Officials say the closure would not hardship the firms and would save money, noting only two patrons use the office and mail volume is low in the season. The firms rely on Lilypons for a small, seasonal mail flow and would ship via nearby Adamsstown rural carrier if the office closes.
